Copliot Copyright Commitment
Microsoft recently announced a copyright commitment for its Copilot services, promising customers indemnification if they are sued for copyright infringement by third parties not only for use of the Copilot services, but also from use of the output of the Copilot services.
By promising users of Copilot services that they can harness AI’s power without fearing copyright infringement claims, Microsoft is making not only a legal move, but a strategic one as it creates a distinct market advantage for the company.
What do you think? Does this copyright commitment give Microsoft a competitive advantage?
