MORVAREED Z. SALEHPOUR

Managing Partner

Morvareed Z. Salehpour is an experienced business and tech lawyer with over a decade of experience in representing entrepreneurs, startups, and businesses. She specializes in creating and negotiating strong contracts and tech transactions to help clients scale and protect their startups and businesses. Her expertise includes counseling clients on product launches, intellectual property licensing and protection, open source issues, and data rights and privacy.

With a track record of successful negotiations and a deep understanding of the legal intricacies associated with commercial contracts and tech transactions, Ms. Salehpour is a trusted advisor to clients ranging from startups to established businesses in various industries, such as SaaS, AI, analytics, software, and digital health, as well as professional services, media and entertainment, transportation, logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, fashion, cannabis, food and beverage, and other businesses. She handles a wide range of agreements, including master services agreements (MSAs), SAAS agreements, licensing agreements, terms of services/terms and conditions, subscription agreements, reseller/referral agreements, and many others. She also provides counsel on business structure, operations, and revenue generation. Ms. Salehpour is known for applying unique solutions to client needs and working tirelessly to achieve efficient resolutions.

Ms. Salehpour holds a degree in Political Science, graduating summa cum laude from UCLA in 2007, and a JD from the UCLA School of Law in 2010, where she served as a Managing Editor for the UCLA Law Review. She has previously practiced at BakerHostetler, a national firm, where she was part of the legal team that sought to recover the principal lost in the Madoff Ponzi scheme, and at Strange & Butler, a complex litigation boutique. She is admitted to the State Bar of California, the bars of the United States District Court for the Central, Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California, and the bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Based in Los Angeles, Ms. Salehpour works with clients in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and beyond. She is also Past-President of the Santa Monica Bar Association and currently serves as Career Chair for the UCLA Alumni Westside Bruins Network and as a Board member and Co-Event Chair for UCLA Law Women LEAD. She is also a prolific speaker and writer on business and tech law and emerging tech topics such as artificial intelligence, data privacy, open source, virtual reality/augmented reality, blockchain, and esports.
